Brendan Rodgers rejects Leicester speculation
Celtic coach Brendan Rodgers has rejected any discussion that links him to a possible return to the Premier League with Leicester.
The Sun said Rodgers, 45, was the ideal candidate for Leicester's council to replace Claude Puel, but he denied the conversation at yesterday's press conference.
"Someone told me about it yesterday," Rodgers said.
"This is the time of year that players and managers are connected to clubs, etc. For me, my only focus here is on Celtic.
"Leicester, as we have seen in recent years, has had an incredible journey as a club and, of course, the sad circumstances they experienced earlier in the season.
"It's a fantastic club but for me at the moment I'm just focused on Celtic and I'm looking forward to the second half of the season."
Puel has been under pressure at King Power Stadium, despite the fact that Fox is well in eighth place in the Premier League.
The French boss is the 2/5 favorite to be the next boss to leave his Premier League post after being booed in a 2-1 defeat at Southampton.
But Puel was provocative at his press conference Thursday.
"The common point, at every press conference, I can not deal with this speculation," he said.
"People often bet a lot on my future, I'm sorry for those who made that bet because they lost a lot of money, I hope this situation continues.
