Mourinho sets Chelsea star - if Man Utd fails to land with a veteran of £ 20 million

Reportedly, Jose Mourinho will mean an attempt to bring Chelsea defender Gary Cahill back to Manchester United in January, but only if he strives to achieve his goal number 1 below.

Friday reports indicate that the US executive has already drawn up a list of potential new central defense recruits, but it seems that its budget may be limited and may try to negotiate agreements rather than adding large amounts of money,

The United States was associated with a fresh move for Caliph's Spinning Naples - but for the required fee for defending the world record of £ 88 million - the move for a mighty Senegalese star seems unlikely to take off.

Mourinho then returns to the Summer Diego Godin lens, reporting that United has got a new chance of landing a defensive pillar at Atletico Madrid.

Mourinho wants Godin last summer, but failed anywhere, like a 32-year-old he eventually committed his future to the Greens of La Liga, although he is said to have signed a new contract in Madrid.

However, it seems that Red Devils are back to the player who is considered the best in the world in his position and hopes to take advantage of the fact that Godin did not actually have to put the pen in his hand.

The player completes 33 years in February but is still considered a brilliant organizer in defense and the man seen as Mourinho as a perfect solution to his team's backs this season.

The Daily Mirror report also claims that Mourinho could turn to Cahill, the player he had trained at his second stint at Chelsea, while trying to reinforce a number of shaky United men.

Gary Cahill: The defeat of Man City was "disappointing"
The diary believes that Mourinho should consider a possible loan to Cahill at Old Trafford in January - if the United failed to agree to an agreement with the Uruguayan Godin star.

England International became frustrated by the lack of playing time under Maurizio Sarri, who made only six matches this season, while Blues boss chose instead of answering David Luiz and Antonio Rüdiger.
